space rock on space rock action

So you know that asteroid that's AHHH! Headed Right For Us!!, ya? Thought I'd check to see how much time we have left, so I can schedule my week accordingly and whatnot.
CNN showed this image as an illustration of how it might look from space, noting this as "an artist's impression" of the asteroid hurdling its giant self towards Earth, drunk with its own power. Seems a bit serene, though...dreamy even, doesn't it?
Whereas my impression is something more akin to this.

Not that there's any need to worry. Some of the world's top scientists are on the case.

As am I.

And I know what I have to do, for at last I know why I was placed on this green Earth, and born with this head.

Just know: I am not afraid. I shall go willingly.
Of course, I'm probably this calm because I keep looking at that artist's impression. Wow. He's really good! That guy totally looks like an asteroid. But I'm also pretty sure there's a subliminal image embedded of floofy pillows by a roaring fireplace, "Go into the light."

Wait, I meant "I =/= heart your head-dysmorphia."

Although, I also do not equal it, so technically I was correct. USA! USA!

Couldn't you just love my dysmorphia disproportionately (on a grand scale)?

Guess the sun adheres more to Eastern philosophies. Who knew? (Please don't write a book, Dan Brown, about how The Church has always known we really should be worshipping the sun but bleh bleh bleh. Actually, just please don't write, Dan Brown. Not even your name. Think what you do to your poor editors, man. Think.)

CNN also reports: "Why do the killer stones orbit nearby? According to a new report, the sun could be to blame."
The (actual) Sun says: "When all you need to do is look within. And, erm, start killing people for me again. I do miss that. Caaan't really explain it, but I do."

Oh, giver and taker of life! I'm starting my pyramid now. And I still have a few virgin sacrifices in storage from my birthday. Or would you prefer captured warriors? Because you just say the word. I make the magic* happen.

(* - my Aztec astrological reading actually says I was: born in a time when the smoking mirror was clear, a time of pure vision, [and that I] make medicine from poison. Not really magic. Guess that was an overstatement.)

TheSmokingMirror.com = posts sensitive legal documents of Aztec celebrities in embarrassing scandals!

Sorry for the delay.

The possiblities of that made my head explode.

Wait! What are you doing in that picture? Are you blowing on the asteroid? Need clarification! Need updates!

Actually, rather than having billions spent on the proposed 'build a thing to basically bump it' onto a slightly altered and then hopefully not Earth-bound path...that's what my head is doing. It can careen into me noggin and veer off to become some other planet's eventual concern.

I'm just puckering up for it, looking harmless or even sweet.

Foolish asteroid.
